M249 Squad Automatic Weapon is a mod that adds the M249 SAW light machine gun as a standalone weapon.
The Belgian FN Minimi, a light machine gun made by the Belgian manufacturer FN Herstal, was adapted into the M249 light machine gun (LMG), formerly known as the M249 Squad Automatic Weapon (SAW), and officially written as Light Machine Gun, 5.56 mm, M249 (FN).
In Fallout Tactics, the Brotherhood of Steel employed it.
